Beautiful photos of people in love is definitely one of my things! So when this engagement shoot landed in my inbox last week I couldn’t wait to share it with you. Sarika and Dipesh have been together since secondary school, their very cute story is well worth a read.
Dyffryn Gardens is a stunning backdrop for these engagement photos, but the real beauty is Sarika in her incredible red and gold lengha outfit, just take a look…

Sarika’s version of events
Sarika, the bride-to-be: It started when we were 15. I knew Dip, he was in some of my classes but we never really spoke. To be honest I thought he didn’t really like me. I sat in front of him in our English lessons and all he would do was throw paper and pens into my hood. He would speak to all of my friends but would hardly say a word to me.
One day on MSN (those were the days!) I confronted him and told him how I felt. Dip quickly apologised and we actually became good friends. For ages we would stay up late everyday just typing to each other and one day he told me he loved me! I was speechless. I’d never thought of us as anything more than friends. I’d always said I’d never go out with anyone younger or shorter than me – Dipesh was both! Only a day younger and a few cm’s shorter he’s much taller than me now though! We went on a date and that was that. Ten years later and I’m happier than ever.
Dipesh’s side of the story
Dipesh, the groom-to-be: It’s difficult to remember a time before Sarika. I was shy and was really awkward around her. I mean look at her, she’s gorgeous and the complete opposite of me – confident and outspoken. I’d look forward to seeing her in class, hoping she’d sit in front of me. I’d try and get her attention by doing stupid things like hiding things in her coat but never managed to build up the courage to say anything meaningful, let alone ask her out!
I was fine speaking to other girls, but Sarika was different. It’s funny to think she actually thought I didn’t like her… she couldn’t have been further from the truth! It just took off after we started messaging each other, and one day I finally took a chance and told her I was crazy about her. And now here we are – 10 years later and I’m about to marry the girl of my dreams. Life is really good.
These two are planning two weddings, a civil and then a Hindu ceremony taking place this summer. Good luck with all the planning guys, after seen I’m sure they’ll be spectacular.
