Hello! I’m Sarah, that’s me in the picture above (it would be a little weird if it wasn’t I think) and this is my first blog post! If you want to know more about me you can take a look at the about page. I started a blog to document my wedding planning journey in 2014 but general life stuff, wedding planning and searching for a 9-5 job all got in the way. Now that things have calmed down a bit, now that I’m married (and still getting used to it all) the passion, well let me be honest, it’s actually an obsession for weddings hasn’t died a death. I have to keep reminding myself that I will never be a bride again, well hopefully!, I don’t think that’s sunk in yet, does it ever? And I found myself still wanting to write a wedding blog, so here I am.
I’ll be using this corner of the Internet to share our celebrations with you – me and my Mr had a four-day wedding extravaganza! This included two weddings, first a big fat Hindu religious ceremony and then a classic civil ceremony. We really did have it all! I’ll show you the few things we thought up and did ourselves, and I’ll discuss and give my opinion on things that cropped up for us. But more importantly I hope Bonjour Bride becomes a platform that you want to share your weddings on. I want to see and inspire other couples with the things you have imagined and brought to life.
Of course it won’t be all about weddings in these parts, fashion, food and interior design, the tasty and pretty interest me too, and hopefully you like that stuff too, so they’ll be featured as well. I hold down a 9-5 job but I will be posting as often and consistently as I can, so here it goes!
